What colours should the planet actually be?
Blue and green is the honest answer for the oceans and the land, but it is not the only defensible one. Roughly seventy one percent of the surface is water, so a globe that looks mostly blue is closer to the truth than one that looks mostly green. Deserts read as tan, ice caps as white, and the whole thing carries swirls of white cloud on top. A child who colours the Pacific larger than every continent put together has got it right.
