The unicorn is up on its hind legs with both front hooves in the air, its mane falling in thick waves down the neck and its tail sweeping out behind. A full moon sits in the top right corner, drawn as a plain open circle, and five stars are spaced around the sky. Below, the field is full of large simple flowers with round centers and five or six broad petals each, mixed with upright grass blades, and two low hills run across behind. The flowers are big enough for a four year old and there are around a dozen of them, so this is one of the rare pages that a small child and an adult can both enjoy for entirely different reasons. Leave the moon white. If you color the sky at all keep it light, because a dark sky on a page this open will fight the unicorn for attention. Scotland's national animal is the unicorn, chosen because heraldry treated it as the natural rival of the lion that stood for England.
