Mermaid Wearing A Crown Of Sea Anemones And Pearls Coloring Page

This mermaid is drawn in a big eyed cartoon style and the whole page is built around what she is wearing on her head. The crown spreads right across the top of the sheet: a large open flower at the center, smaller anemone blooms on both sides, and about twenty pearl tipped sprays fanning out between them like stamens. Every pearl is its own small circle, so there is real detail up there even though the rest of the drawing is simple. Below it her hair falls in five or six long flowing masses past her waist, and a double strand of pearls sits across the top of her bodice with a bow at the center. Her tail is completely plain, one long smooth curve ending in a wide fluke with two soft lobes, and it is the largest empty area on the page by some margin. Nothing is drawn behind her, so she floats on bare paper. Work the crown with several colors and leave the tail as a single deep shade, and the contrast between the busy top and the quiet bottom becomes the whole design.
