Mermaid Swimming Joyfully With Dolphins Coloring Page

Four dolphins and one mermaid share this page and all five are moving in different directions, which gives the sheet a real sense of tumbling play. The mermaid is in the center with both arms raised and her hair streaming out sideways in long ribbons. One dolphin swims behind her shoulder, one dives across the bottom left, one leaps at the top right and one comes head on at the middle right. Each is drawn as a smooth uncluttered shape with a single curved mouth line and one dot eye, so they color quickly and read clearly. Her tail is the fine work here, a long band of small overlapping scales running down to a split fluke drawn in wide open panels. Five round bubbles float up the left side, each one a plain circle. Along the bottom grow kelp fronds, coral clumps and a few rounded stones. Four dolphins in four slightly different grays, with the mermaid in warm colors, keeps the animals as a group and still lets her lead the scene.
