Little Mermaid Peeking Above The Waves Curiously Coloring Page

Almost all of this page is one wave. It rises from the bottom corners in a single long swell and crests near the middle, and above it a young mermaid has hooked both hands over the top and is peering across with wide curious eyes. You can see her head, her shoulders and her fingers and nothing else. Her eyes are enormous, drawn with heavy lashes and highlights already left white, and her hair sweeps back from a side parting in long soft strands with one curl escaping at the left. The wave below is described with only three long lines and is otherwise completely blank, which makes it the biggest single open area in the whole fantasy section. That is the appeal and the challenge of this sheet: there is very little to color and enormous room to decide how. Fill the wave flat, run a gradient from the crest down, add your own foam line, or leave it white and just color her. A child of five and an adult will approach it completely differently.
