Majestic Castle By The Sea On Dramatic Cliffs Coloring Page

A castle sits on top of a craggy island of rock with open sea running to the horizon on both sides. The rock is the most interesting part: it is split into a dozen tall faceted planes with hatched shading between them, and clumps of scrubby vegetation cling to the ledges. Above it the castle is drawn small and finely detailed, a long hall with rows of arched windows, a central tower with a steep pointed roof and a flag, and several lesser turrets stepping down on both sides. The sea is drawn as long horizontal bands of ripples that thin out toward the horizon line. A ruled border frames the whole design, and the space between the border and the sea is filled with drifting decorative shapes, small stars, circles, crescents and squares, perhaps forty in total. One curious detail sits in the bottom left corner: a long staff with a flower and a trailing ribbon, floating on the water for no reason the drawing explains. Treat the scattered shapes as confetti and color them at random. The rock deserves your most careful work.
