Magical Glowing Castle In An Enchanted Forest Coloring Page

A gothic castle stands in a clearing surrounded by tall pines, and the whole scene is enclosed in a great oval of scrolling vines, leaves and blossom that curls right round to meet at the bottom. The building is the most ornate in this collection: a steep spired tower with a large rose window, pointed gables, arched galleries, and a wide flight of steps climbing to a small arched door with a lantern beside it. Around it the conifers are drawn with dense layered branches, very heavily inked, and they are the one part of the sheet where the line work is too tight to color between. Treat them as dark masses and lay a single deep green straight over the top. A bare twisted tree on the right gives some relief. Across the foreground runs a bank of large open flowers, magnolias and peonies among curled ferns and smooth boulders, and that is where to spend your time and your brightest colors. A pale moon floats behind the vines at the top left. Keep the forest dark and the flowers loud and the contrast does the work.
