Christmas Angel On Top Of A Decorated Tree Coloring Page

The angel here is a tree topper, standing straight and narrow above the crown of a Christmas spruce with her hands folded and a decorated ball resting on her head like a crown. Her gown falls in a long clean triangle with barely a fold in it, and her wings are drawn as wide veined shapes closer to a butterfly than to a bird, which suits an ornament far better than real feathers would. Below her the tree takes over the bottom two thirds of the sheet. Its branches are drawn as dense rows of short needle strokes, which is the one part of this page that cannot really be colored in the ordinary way. Treat the needles as texture and lay a green over the top of them rather than trying to fill between. Hanging from the branches are about a dozen round ornaments, each a plain circle with a small cap and hook, and those are where the color goes. A beaded garland loops across the tree in two long curves. Give the ornaments four rotating colors and leave the garland white, and the tree will read as lit without any extra work.
