Angel Surrounded By Flowers And Gentle Light Coloring Page

An angel stands with her head bowed and her hands together, and the bottom third of this sheet is given over entirely to flowers. A dozen or more large open blooms crowd across the base, anemones and daisies with rounded petals and stippled centers, along with buds, broad leaves and long stems reaching up on both sides. Her gown falls straight down into that flower bed so that the two merge, which means you should decide early where the fabric stops and the garden starts. Behind her head a halo of straight rays fans out like a rising sun, and her hair falls forward over both shoulders in long wavy strands. The wings are wide and drawn in two clear bands of rounded feathers. Filling all the remaining paper are small scattered decorations: spirals, tiny five petal flowers, dots and curling wisps that suggest drifting light. They are light in line weight and easy to skip if you want a cleaner finish. The flowers are the reward here. Give each bloom its own color rather than working the whole bed in one shade, and the sheet comes alive from the bottom up.
