Angel Playing A Golden Harp In The Clouds Coloring Page

An angel kneels on a soft bank of cloud, leaning into a harp that stands taller than she does. The instrument is the technical part of the page. Its curved neck finishes in a small scrolled flourish, its soundboard runs down to the cloud in a long tapering column, and roughly twenty strings are ruled between the two at even spacing. Those strings are fine lines on a white field, so leave them alone rather than trying to color them, and let the frame carry the gold instead. Behind the angel one wing is fully visible and drawn in four or five rows of layered feathers. The other is hidden by her body, which keeps the composition from getting crowded. Her gown falls in long smooth folds that pool on the cloud, and her hair is drawn as a mass of tight curls that will take a while if you want them separated. The clouds themselves are three or four big bubbled shapes that a young child can finish in a minute. Pale blue in the clouds and a warm ochre on the harp is the classic combination, and it leaves the gown free to take any color you like.
