Angel Kneeling Beside A Child Protectively Coloring Page

Two figures kneel facing each other and their hands almost touch in the middle of the page, which is what holds the whole composition together. On the right the angel kneels upright with a full wing spread behind her, a halo floating above her hair, and a long gown gathered over her heels. On the left a much smaller child kneels looking up, with a pair of short feathered wings of its own and a bald round head that makes it read as a toddler. Both faces are turned in profile toward each other and both are smiling. Because the two bodies overlap where the hands meet, plan your colors before you start. Giving each figure a different robe color makes the overlap read clearly, and keeping both pairs of wings the same shade ties them together as a pair. The wings are the only detailed areas on the sheet, each built from three rows of overlapping feathers, and everything else is broad and simple. There is no background at all, not even a ground line, so the two figures float on white paper and you can add whatever setting you like around them.
