Angel Flying With Wings Outstretched Gracefully Coloring Page

An angel flies across the center of this sheet with both wings stretched out to their fullest, and the span reaches nearly edge to edge. The wings are built in three clear stages, short scalloped feathers where they meet the shoulders, a middle band of medium blades, and long pointed primaries that run out to the tips, which gives you a natural way to shade from dark at the body to light at the ends. Her gown is caught in the wind and trails behind her in long sweeping folds, her arms are crossed at her chest, and a double ring halo floats behind her head. What makes this page an adult sheet is the frame. A large diamond of beaded ribbon runs around the whole design, and every corner is packed with dense curling scrollwork, leaves and small ornamental medallions. A handful of loose feathers and small beads drift in the open space below the figure. Work the border in one or two colors only. It carries so much line work that a busy palette turns it to noise, and a restrained frame will make the flying figure inside it read as the subject.
