Angel Blowing A Long Golden Trumpet Heralding Coloring Page

Here the collection turns toward the adult end of the range. A herald angel stands in three quarter view lifting a long trumpet to her lips, the bell of it flaring open at the top right corner of the sheet. Her wing is enormous and fills the entire left half of the page, built from four or five bands of feathers that grow from small scalloped rows at the shoulder to long blade shapes at the tip. Her robe is heavily draped, with dozens of parallel fold lines running down to the bottom edge, and her hair falls in thick waves under a spoked halo. Around all of this runs a decorative border of curling scrollwork, and two large sunflowers anchor the lower corners. The remaining space is filled with small floating stars, diamonds and petals, perhaps forty of them, scattered right across the open paper. There is no easy part of this page. Plan on an hour or more with fine tipped pens or sharp pencils, start with the small scattered shapes while your hand is fresh, and save the long fold lines of the robe for last when you want something repetitive.
