Tiger Roaring on a Rock Ledge Coloring Page

A single boulder occupies the bottom of the page, faceted into large flat planes by a few long cracks. The tiger stands on top of it in profile, chest forward, head tipped up and back with the jaws wide open and both upper canines visible. Whiskers spray out from the muzzle. The tail hangs down the left side of the rock in clean banded segments. Above and behind the animal there is nothing at all.

That empty upper half is worth keeping empty. The silhouette is dramatic on its own, and adding a sky tends to close the page in rather than open it up.

The rock is the easy win here. Four or five grays of slightly different weight, one per facet, give it solidity in about five minutes, and the flat planes make it a good place for a child to practice staying inside a line before moving to the coat.

A tiger roaring like this is not warning off an intruder at close range. The full roar is a long distance signal that carries around two miles through forest, and it is usually aimed at tigers nobody in the scene can see.
