Vintage Orient Express Train With Elegant Dining Car Coloring Page

The wall of this dining car has been cut away so you can see straight into it. Two round tables stand in a row, each draped to the floor in a cloth that falls in soft vertical folds, and each laid for two: a stemmed glass, a plate, a pair of napkins folded into points, and a small vase holding a single flower. Four deep armchairs curve around them with their backs turned toward you.

Above the tables run four tall arched windows, every one hung with a gathered curtain caught back at the side, and a scalloped valance ripples the length of the roof edge like the trim on an awning.

The lower body panel is where the sheet turns decorative. A repeating square key pattern runs end to end beneath the tables, the sort of border you find on old porcelain, and it rewards a careful hand and a fine tip. Two large wheels sit below it, each spun with a dozen slender spokes around a ringed hub, and the rails stretch away flat underneath.

Because the car runs off both edges of the paper, the sky above it is left completely empty. Warm woods and deep reds inside, cool metal below, and the two halves of the picture separate cleanly.
