A streamlined bullet train leans into the page with speed lines trailing behind it, drawn in clean uncluttered outlines.

A high speed train swings toward the lower left of the page with its long tapered nose leading. The cab glass wraps right around the front in one smooth sweep, two small round lamps sit underneath it, and the body narrows away toward the back where a pantograph reaches up from the roof.
Speed lines do the rest of the work. Several long strokes stream off the nose and over the roof, and they are what tell you the train is moving rather than parked. Leave them white and the effect holds. Lay one pale tone softly across them and it gets stronger still.
Doors and windows are set out as plain rounded panels, large enough for a marker with no risk of slipping over an edge, and the track beneath runs off the bottom corner with evenly spaced sleepers.
Most of the sheet is untouched paper. Real trains of this kind are usually white with one or two bold stripes along the flank, so a single band of color running the length of the body will look right and takes almost no time to put down.
