Tractor Cutting Grass In A Field Coloring Page

This page splits into two halves and each one asks for something different. Across the top a tractor moves to the left with a boxy cab, a short bent exhaust, a band of grille lines along the bonnet and two wheels drawn with heavy ribbed edges. Hitched behind it is a low flat mower on small wheels, with cut grass standing up from the bed in loose clumps. One horizon line runs under the machine from edge to edge. Below that line the field takes over, and it is drawn as row upon row of separate grass tufts, each a small spray of pointed blades with open white between them. None of them touch, so they can be filled one at a time in slightly different tones to make the field look uneven and real, or swept through quickly with a single green. There must be thirty of them, which makes this the longest sitting in the set and a good choice for a child who wants a page that lasts. The machinery at the top rewards care and the field below rewards patience.
