The snowmobile is drawn side on and moving, with its skis pointed left and a burst of loose snow flying off the back of the track. The rider sits upright in a full face helmet with a wide visor down, hands on the grips, wearing a padded jacket that creases at the elbow and shoulder.
Most of the machine is smooth open panel, which makes the few detailed parts stand out. A grille of fine louvers is set into the side of the front cowling. A tall curved windshield leans over the nose. The seat runs long and low to a squared tail, and under it the drive track is drawn as a belt of small round studs. Two coil springs stand above the skis where the suspension mounts, with each coil clearly separated.
The background is kept light on purpose. One long line crosses the sheet for the horizon, three thin conifers stand on it, and a few faint strokes suggest the surface of the snow. Flakes fall as small open circles, scattered widely rather than packed, and more of them cluster in the spray behind the machine. There is plenty of white left around the edges.
