The motorcycle is drawn from behind and slightly to one side, so you look up the length of it toward the rider's shoulders and the road ahead. The rider sits squarely in the saddle wearing a rounded helmet, seen from the back with no face in view, and a jacket that folds across the shoulder blades and down the sleeve to the grip.
Luggage dominates the middle of the picture. A deep top case is mounted high behind the rider, with a blank recessed panel on its back face and a lid seam running around it. A pannier hangs on each side, each with a broad strap and a catch. Two round lamps face rearward from a rack below the case.
The back wheel is the most detailed shape here. Its rim is laced with a full set of thin spokes to a small hub, and the tire beside it is a wide smooth band. A cover plate and chain run forward along the swingarm, and the front wheel shows past the rider's boot with a fender curved over it.
Either side of the road, short flicked strokes stand in for roadside grass, and the horizon is a single line.
