Forest Fire Helicopter Dropping Water On Flames Coloring Page

A firefighting helicopter hovers over burning pines and tips a full bucket, sending a long fall of water down.

A helicopter hangs in the top half of the sheet, drawn side on with its nose to the left. Four long rotor blades stretch out from a hub above the cabin, and a small tail rotor sits at the end of a boom that runs back and up to a fin. Two square side windows and a curved windshield make up the glazing, and a pair of plain straight skids sits under the belly.

A round bucket swings below on a single cable, tipped just enough to pour. The water leaves it as a wide spreading fan of long dashes, narrow at the bucket and opening out as it drops toward the trees. Because the dashes are separate strokes with white between them, the fall stays light rather than solid.

Tall conifers fill the lower third, and these are the busiest part of the drawing: each branch is built from many short feathered strokes layered down the trunk. Flames rise between them as tall open curls, outlined only, with nothing inside. The fire and the water meet in the middle of the page.

Rivets run in a neat row along the tail boom if you want something small to pick out.
