One aircraft fills the middle of this page, tipped at an angle with its nose pointing toward the upper right corner. The body is drawn as a long tapered tube, and a swept delta wing spreads back from it on each side with a slim panel line scored along the top surface. Two small fins stand up near the tail, and a third smaller fin angles out below them.
The canopy over the cockpit is an oval with a frame line around it, left completely open inside. Behind the wing root, the engine ends in a short nozzle drawn as a stack of narrow rings, which is the busiest piece of detail anywhere on the sheet. Four long thin streaks stream backward from the tail and run right off the lower left corner of the paper.
Everything here is thick unbroken outline with nothing filled in, which is what the simple tier is for. There are only a handful of separate shapes to work through, so a young colorist can finish the jet quickly. The wide empty sky around it is an invitation rather than a gap, and clouds or a second aircraft can go straight into it.
