An airship fills the upper half of this page, drawn broadside so you get the full length of it. The envelope is a long smooth ellipse with seams running nose to tail and four fins at the rear, and a small gondola hangs beneath the middle on short struts. Three clouds drift around it. Below, a stadium sits on the lower half, drawn as a shallow bowl in three concentric tiers of seating, with the playing surface in the middle marked out with a center circle and boundary lines.
The stadium tiers are made of dozens of identical seat blocks running round the curve, which makes them the long methodical part of the page and a good place to practice an even tone across repeated shapes.
The envelope above is the opposite: one enormous smooth area with only a few seams crossing it.
An airship stays up because helium is lighter than the air it displaces, so unlike a plane it does not need to move to stay airborne. That is the whole reason they are used over stadiums. A blimp can simply sit above the ground for hours while a helicopter burns fuel to hold the same spot.
