Tall Mushroom With Ivy Vines

An ivy vine has wound its way up the stalk of this tall mushroom, looping around it three times before disappearing under the cap. The cap above spreads wide and is ribbed underneath with long lines running from the rim inward, while the top is sprinkled with small oval marks. Down at the base, big ivy leaves crowd around the foot of the stalk, each one drawn with a clear central vein and pointed lobes, and more leaves trail off to the left and right on thin stems. Tiny hearts and slim crescent moons float in the space around the mushroom along with scattered circles. A decorative frame runs right round the edge of the sheet with scrolling ornaments in each corner, which turns the finished piece into something worth pinning up. This one is aimed at older children and adults. The leaves alone will take a while if you shade each one separately, and the ribbed underside of the cap looks striking in two tones. Pick a single accent color for the hearts and moons so they tie the border and the center together.
