Garden Poppies Swaying In The Breeze Coloring Page

Four poppies open across this page on stems thin enough that the flowers look genuinely top heavy. Each bloom has crinkled outer edges, a shallow bowl of petals marked with faint radiating creases, and a dense stippled heart at the center. Those hearts are already dark, so leave them as they are and put your strongest color in the petals around them. Scattered between the stems are seed pods on curved stalks, and several of them carry a lace pattern of small cells across the top that is worth slowing down for. Wiry stems curl upward with nothing on their ends, a few sprigs of narrow leaves crowd the base, and smaller daisy shapes and buds fill in along the bottom. A garland of little spirals runs across the top of the sheet between two ribbon tied corner pieces, and loose spiral circles float through the open area on the right. Those floating circles are the easiest place to try a color you are unsure about. There is a lot of white in the upper right, which keeps a busy lower half from feeling crowded.
