Mushroom Kingdom With Tiny Bridges

Three mushroom towers stand shoulder to shoulder here, and they are clearly homes rather than plants. Each stalk has an arched door cut into it, and a small arched window sits higher up, so you can picture somebody looking out. Running across the front of the middle tower is a plank bridge with a curved railing on either side, joining the left home to the right one without anyone needing to climb down. A short flight of steps leads up to the bridge from the ground on the right. The caps above are broad and dotted, tilting at slightly different angles, and thin ribbed lines show underneath each rim. Grass sprouts in tufts at the base and the whole village sits on one soft curve of ground. Give each home its own cap color and the three will read as three separate families. Keep the bridge and the steps in wood tones so they tie the little kingdom together. The page has plenty of large flat areas, which suits crayons well, but the railings and the window frames reward a finer pencil if you have the patience for them.
