Colorful Spotted Mushroom Ring In A Forest

Seven spotted mushrooms have pushed up in a rough circle on a flat patch of forest floor, the kind of ring that people once believed a fairy had danced into the ground overnight. Each cap wears a scatter of large open circles, and every circle is drawn as a clean outline with nothing shaded in, so each one can take a different shade if you feel like it. Look under the rims and you will spot short gill lines fanning inward on the mushrooms that lean toward you. Two bare tree trunks stand well back behind the ring, their branches thin and leafless, which tells you the season without any extra clutter. The ground is a single wide oval, easy to fill with one color or to break into patches of moss. There is a lot of open paper above the scene.
