Phoenix Soaring In Flight With Wings Spread Wide Coloring Page
A phoenix banks across an empty sheet with long swept wings and a trailing tail, drawn in a fine minimal line.

This is the most minimal drawing on the whole site. A phoenix banks across the page with its wings swept forward and its long tail streaming behind, and there is nothing else at all, not a cloud, not a mark, just a single bird floating in a field of white. The line is fine and confident. Layered feather rows are suggested across the shoulders with a few short curves, the flight feathers are drawn as long open blades, and the tail splits into three ribbons that taper away toward the bottom right corner. The head is small with a hooked beak and a single dot eye, and two clawed feet are tucked up under the body. Everything is outline. There is no shading anywhere and no closed area smaller than a fingertip. Because so much of the sheet is empty, this one rewards a little ambition: put a sun, a sky or a wash of color behind the bird and you will have made most of the picture yourself. Left plain it is a five minute page for a small child.
