Phoenix Silhouette Against A Starry Night Sky Coloring Page

This sheet reverses everything. Instead of a black bird on white paper, the sky behind the phoenix is filled solid black and the bird is left pale, drawn in fine white line work against it. Roughly forty percent of the page is already inked, which means there is far less to color here than anywhere else in the collection, and that is the design rather than a mistake. Within the black, hundreds of tiny stippled dots build up drifts of stars and a dozen small ornamental star bursts sit among them. A plain white full moon hangs at the upper left. The phoenix itself stands with one wing lifted high, its body and breast covered in rows of small feathers and its long tail curling down to the bottom right corner where scrollwork closes the frame. Ornate borders run down both sides. Color the bird and leave the sky alone. Anything light on the phoenix will glow against the black, and metallic pencils, if you have them, were made for this page.
