Phoenix And Dragon Facing Each Other Dramatically Coloring Page

A phoenix and a dragon face each other in the middle of this sheet, their bodies curving around one another so that their tails meet below and close the shape into a circle. It is the best designed page in the fantasy section. The phoenix on the left is entirely feathers, hundreds of small overlapping scallops running from its crest down its breast and into a long sweeping tail. The dragon on the right is entirely scales, drawn as neat diamond rows along its neck, body and coiling tail, with two great ribbed wings spread behind it. Their front claws almost touch at the center. The contrast between feather and scale is the whole point, so choose two palettes that oppose each other, warm against cool or light against dark, and keep each creature consistent. Behind them a large faint medallion of scrollwork fills the circle and delicate ornaments sit in all four corners, all drawn in a much lighter line so they can be washed over or ignored entirely.
