Fairy Tending A Tiny Magical Garden Coloring Page

A fairy kneels in a garden that has almost swallowed her. The bottom half of this sheet is packed with flowers of every kind drawn at different scales, cosmos, poppies, daisies, a sunflower with a stippled center, tulip buds, broad leaves and curling ferns, several dozen blooms in all, each one outlined separately. A plain watering can sits among them on the right, one of the very few smooth shapes on the page. Above the flowers the fairy leans forward with her long wavy hair falling past her waist, a blossom tucked behind one ear, and two large butterfly wings rising behind her with soft shading marks along their edges. Around all of it runs a heavy ornamental border of spirals, scrolls and four big corner flowers, which frames the scene like a printed plate. The border and the garden are equally dense, so decide early which one you want to dominate. Keeping the border in a single muted tone and letting the flower bed carry the full range of color is the plan that works best.
