Fairy Sitting On A Giant Mushroom In A Forest Coloring Page

A fairy sits on the dome of an oversized toadstool with her knees drawn up and one hand resting on them, looking out to the left. She is drawn small against the mushroom, which is the whole idea: the cap below her spreads wide across the middle of the sheet and carries seven big oval spots, each one a separate closed shape and the easiest, most satisfying thing on the page to fill. Under the cap the gills are ruled in fine radiating lines, so leave those alone and let the line work show. Two tall tree trunks lean in from the left and right edges, their bark drawn as long broken strokes, and leafy branches arch across the top corners to close the clearing in. Around the base of the stem grows a bank of broad leaves, grass tufts and small stones. A single butterfly hovers to the right. Her wings are delicate ovals with a few veins and they need only the lightest touch of color. Put the strongest color on the spots, keep the forest muted, and the toadstool will read as the subject it deserves to be.
