Friendly Dragon Protecting A Small Village Coloring Page

This dragon could not look less dangerous. It sits back on its haunches on a low grassy rise, smiling broadly with its mouth open, two curved horns on its head and a pair of bright oval eyes. Its neck and belly are ribbed with a stack of curved bands, and a row of small triangular spines runs down the length of its back and out along the tail, which curls round to the left and finishes in a flat arrow. One folded wing sits high on its shoulder. The joke of the picture is scale. Tucked against the dragon's side are two tiny cottages, the larger one no taller than its knee, each with a pitched roof, a paned window and a small arched door. They are sheltered by the curve of the body exactly as the title promises. A few tufts of grass grow along a gentle ground line and the rest of the sheet is white. Everything here is built from big smooth shapes with plenty of room between the lines, so this is one to hand to a child who wants a dragon but not a difficult one.
