Dragon Playing With Laughing Children Coloring Page

A dragon leans down out of the top of the frame with its mouth open and its horns swept back, one wing raised behind it. Two children are laughing beside it. One holds a front claw as though shaking hands, and the other has climbed onto the dragon's foreleg with an arm in the air. Petals drift through the gap between them, and a wreath of leaves and flowers frames the whole scene.

There is a lot happening. The scales, the children's faces and the flower border all carry detail, so this rewards an older child or an adult and takes a while.

Faces are the priority. Do those first, with a sharp pencil, before your hand gets tired on the border.

A dragon that lets children climb on it is a modern invention. Friendly dragons barely exist in older folklore and only became common in children's books in the twentieth century, once the creature stopped being a stand in for danger.
