Baby Dragon Hatching From A Speckled Egg Coloring Page

A baby dragon has just broken out of its egg and is climbing over the jagged rim of the shell, both front claws hooked over the edge. It is drawn as a plump cartoon with a large rounded head, a short blunt snout, two nostril dots and a small closed smile. Its eyes are big shining ovals with the highlights already left white, so the face is finished before you start. One little bat wing is folded against its back, a tuft of hair sits between two rounded ears, and the tail curls out through a crack at the right side of the shell and ends in a neat spiral. The egg is the other half of the drawing and the better part to color. It is a wide oval broken raggedly across the top, and about twenty circular spots of three different sizes are scattered over it, each one drawn as a separate outline. Give those spots two alternating colors and the shell takes on a pattern no flat fill could match. Everything sits on plain white paper with no ground and no background, and the shapes are big and forgiving throughout.
