Sonic Sliding Along a Rail Coloring Page

The hedgehog grinds along a rail that runs from the lower left up to a vanishing point on the right, arms out, with a city skyline behind him and rings lying along the track below.

The rail is drawn as a set of long parallel lines converging into the distance, so it is a band with a top surface and a side face rather than a single stroke. Those two long strips are what let it be colored as metal, light along the top and darker down the side, and that one trick is more convincing than any amount of shading.

The perspective is the real pleasure of the page. Everything narrows toward the right, the supports get shorter, the rings get smaller, and a child who colors from the front backward gets genuine depth out of a flat sheet.

The skyline is reduced to plain rectangles of different heights with a scatter of square windows. Deliberately crude: a detailed skyline would be a hundred tiny windows and the page would stop being a coloring sheet.

The rings along the rail are proper annuli with the holes left open.
