Sonic Jumping Over a Loop Coloring Page

The hedgehog vaults over the top of an enormous loop track, arms spread, with a palm tree behind him and the track running away toward the bottom of the page.

The loop is drawn as a wide band rather than a line, a complete circle with an inner and an outer edge and real width between them, and it takes up most of the sheet. Treated as a band it can be colored as solid track with a rail edge, and the huge hole in the middle becomes a window onto the scene behind.

The track running out of the bottom of the loop is laid in segments, a ladder of short bars receding to a vanishing point. That perspective is the best part of the page: the bars get shorter and closer together as they go back, so alternating two tones along them produces a road that genuinely recedes.

The palm behind has a segmented trunk and a spray of fronds simplified down to shapes you can fill rather than true frond detail.

The hedgehog is small against all this, drawn at the apex of the jump, which is the right scale to make the loop look as tall as it should.
