The hedgehog stands with one hand on his hip and the other held up in a thumbs up, one eye narrowed in a wink.
The raised glove is drawn large and is the focal point of the sheet. The cuff band at the wrist, the closed fist and the thumb are three clearly separate areas, which matters because a thumbs up drawn as one lumpy mitten is a shape nobody can read, let alone color.
The wink is two different eyes, one open with an outlined pupil and one narrowed to a curve, and that asymmetry does more for the character than any amount of extra detail would.
His sneakers are the best detail here. Each has a toe cap, a sole band and a stripe across the instep, and they are drawn at slightly different angles so the pair is more interesting to color than a matched set would be.
The background is deliberately empty. Of the sixteen Sonic sheets this is one of the few with no scene at all, because a set where every page is busy gives a child nowhere to go on a day when they want something quick.
