A blocky avatar holds a cube up in one hand with four more stacked and scattered on the ground beside it.
Every cube on this page is drawn in three quarter view showing three faces: a top, a front and a side. That is the point of the sheet. Five cubes with three surfaces each is the clearest invitation in this whole wave to try the one trick that makes blocky art look solid, which is to take each face a step lighter or darker than the one beside it.
Do that across five cubes and the stack genuinely looks three dimensional. It is the most useful thing a child can learn from a page like this and it needs no drawing skill at all.
The cubes on the ground sit at slightly different angles, so the three visible faces differ on each and the exercise is not simply repeated.
The avatar is drawn with its torso as a single large slab, the biggest open area on the sheet, and its legs divided into stacked panels.
The raised cube is held clear of the body with the hand passing behind it.
