Minecraft Sword and Shield Coloring Page

A sword lies crossed over a tall shield, both drawn large enough to fill most of the page.

The blade is the best thing here. Its edges are scalloped into a row of rounded notches running from the guard to the point, so instead of two long flat sides there is a line of separate cells down each edge. Running a gradient up the blade one notch at a time, pale at the tip and darker toward the guard, is the exercise this sheet is built for, and it needs no shading skill at all.

The grip is a stack of banded segments ending in a chunky pommel with a round boss, four or five parts in a short column.

The shield is a broad plate with a border running inside its edge and a row of small studs set along it. Those studs are the fine work on the page, and the large plain field they enclose is the rest, which is a good balance: a sheet that is all small detail is tiring and one that is all big areas is over too quickly.

Where the two cross, the sword passes in front and the shield outline breaks cleanly behind it.
