Minecraft Miner with a Pickaxe Coloring Page

A blocky figure stands holding a pickaxe, with three cube blocks stacked beside him, every edge on the page a straight line and every corner square.

That is the appeal of this whole style for a coloring sheet and it is worth saying out loud: there is almost nothing curved to follow. A child who finds it hard to keep inside a wobbly outline can do a page like this cleanly, because staying inside a square is a much easier job than staying inside a dog's ear. Pages built from boxes are the most forgiving in the entire catalog.

The figure is a handful of rectangles: a square head, a slab torso, two straight arms and two legs. Because it is drawn in slight three quarter view, several of those boxes show two faces, a front and a side, and treating the side a shade darker than the front is what makes a flat figure pop into three dimensions. That one habit is the whole lesson of this set, and this is the easiest place to learn it.

The three stacked blocks each show a top, a front and a side, so the trick can be practiced again on something simpler.

His face is a few plain squares. The pickaxe is a banded shaft and a hooked head.
