Minecraft Creeper in a Grass Field Coloring Page

The tall cube creature stands in a field of blocky grass with three flat clouds overhead, built like everything else in this style from right angles.

Its face is the detail that makes the sheet: two square eyes and a square mouth set into the front of the head cube. A pixel face is a tiny ready made mosaic, so a child can color each square separately and it still looks correct, which is almost never true of a drawn face.

The body is divided into a column of large rectangles with a stepped seam running down it, four or five rows of them. Those cells are each big enough for a crayon, and the obvious treatment is two or three greens scattered among them. Done that way the creature ends up looking exactly like the thing it is meant to be, and it took no skill, just patience.

The grass is the surprise. It is drawn as tall spiky tufts rising out of a row of cubes at the base, which puts soft ragged shapes against all those hard edges and gives the lower third of the page a completely different feel from the top.

The clouds are flat slabs with cut corners, left open inside. Nothing here is round.
