The little white cat tips a watering can over three potted flowers standing in a row at her feet, with a few drops falling from the spout.
The three pots are the heart of the page. Each is a plain tapered tub with a wide rim band, and each holds a flower with pointed petals around a round center on a stem with two leaves. Three identical plants in a row is a straightforward invitation to try three different colors, and because the pots are also identical, the row ends up looking deliberate however it is treated.
The rim bands are worth noticing. A pot drawn as a single tapered shape is one area; the band splits it into two, and taking the rim a shade darker than the body is enough to make terracotta look like terracotta.
The can is a drum with a handle arching over the top and a spout running up to a wide round rose, drawn face on so the rose is a clean circle with a ring inside it.
The drops from the spout are separate closed teardrops rather than a stream, because a stream is a line and a line cannot be colored.
