Bluey Chasing a Butterfly Coloring Page

A heeler puppy leaps up out of tall meadow grass after two butterflies drifting above her, one large and one smaller, with flowers growing on long stems at both edges of the page.

The butterflies are drawn far larger than real ones, and that exaggeration is on purpose. At life size they would be thumbnails with wing markings too small to color. At this size each wing carries a row of open cells divided by the veins, so the pair of them become the most detailed thing on the sheet rather than an afterthought.

The cells are matched across each body, so a child who wants the two wings to mirror each other can, and one who wants them odd can do that too. Both look right.

The puppy is caught mid leap with her front paws up and her back legs stretched, which keeps every limb a clear separate shape with white around it.

The grass is drawn as long individual blades rising to different heights rather than a solid mass, and the flowers are simple open faces on tall stems. Together they fill the bottom third with work that is easy but not boring.
