Owl Family In A Hollow Old Oak Tree Coloring Page
Four horned owls perch where an old oak forks, surrounded by bark drawn as long flowing ribbons.

Four owls sit together where the oak splits. Three are adult sized: one on the left, one facing straight out of the page in the middle, and the largest on the right, standing a head above the others. A fourth and much smaller owl is tucked in low at the front between the first two. All four carry the same pointed ear tufts and the same heavy brow over round, forward set eyes. Their breasts are stippled with small hooked marks, and their wing feathers are laid out as overlapping scallops down each side. The tree around them is the other half of the drawing. Its bark is not drawn as texture but as long flowing ribbons that curve up the trunk, split at the fork, and carry on out along every branch. A few sprigs of pointed leaves break the flow near the top and the edges.
One thing to know going in: the birds perch out in the open on that fork, not inside a hollow. Nothing is tucked away and every feather is reachable.
Keep all four owls in one family of colors and send the bark ribbons somewhere else entirely, or the birds will sink into the tree.
