Seven stems of lavender rise from a fan of long narrow leaves at the bottom of this page. Each spike is built from small paired buds stacked in a column, and the buds near the tip are tighter and rounder than the ones lower down. Because every stem repeats the same simple shape, this sheet works well for anyone still getting comfortable holding a pencil steady. Four bees share the scene. Two are in the air near the top, drawn small with plain oval bodies, and two more sit lower among the flowers with large round eyes, striped bodies and clearly veined wings. One of those has landed directly on a stem. A single five petal blossom grows near the bottom right, giving you one shape that is not lavender and one place to break the color scheme. The outlines are thick and widely spaced with no fine detail anywhere, and the top third of the sheet is left completely open. You can fill that space with a sky, or leave it and let the stems look like they are growing into bright light.
