Cactus In Bloom In The Desert Coloring Page

Five cacti of different heights stand together here, and the tallest one runs almost the full height of the sheet. Their ribs are drawn as long parallel grooves with short spines ticked along the outer lines, which gives you a repeating texture to work through slowly. A wide star shaped bloom sits on top of the center column, its pointed petals layered in two rings around a small tight crown. A second flower, rounder and more open, grows lower down on the same plant and has a speckled middle. At the base, spiky rosettes fan out on both sides like agave, and a low mound of round petals sits between them. A small bud on a stalk and a curled fiddlehead shape fill the right corner. Corner flourishes and scattered doodle blossoms sit in the background in a lighter line than everything else. Those background marks are optional. Deserts give you permission to work warm, so try golds and rust tones on the sand plants and keep the columns a cooler green so the two groups separate.
