Clover picked and tied like flowers, stems bound with a wide ribbon that finishes in a bow with two long trailing tails.

Someone has picked an armful of clover and tied it the way you would tie flowers. The leaves crowd together across the top of the sheet, each built from rounded lobes shaped like hearts, some facing the front and others tipped away so that only their edges show. The biggest leaf sits in the middle of the group and opens into four lobes rather than three, which is worth pointing out to a child hunting for the lucky one.

All the stems gather into a narrow waist, and a wide flat ribbon wraps that waist and ties off in a generous bow whose tails fall nearly to the bottom edge.

The overlapping leaves are the interesting problem. Filling every one with the same green flattens the bouquet into a single blob, while alternating two or three greens, or simply keeping the back leaves pale and the front ones strong, separates them immediately. The ribbon is the obvious place for something that is not green at all, and a warm tone there does the most for the greens beside it.
