A rainbow drawn as a set of open concentric bands takes up the top two thirds of this page. The bands are wide, evenly spaced and completely empty, which makes the sheet a natural place to talk through the order of the spectrum before anyone starts. There are enough arcs here for every color with room to spare.
Below it the land rolls away in two long soft ridges, and a winding path climbs from the bottom edge toward the point where the arc comes down. A round bellied pot stands at the top of that path, heaped with coins drawn as overlapping circles, with a few more spilled on the ground beside it.
Little tufts of grass dot the near ridge and nothing else competes for attention. The sky above the arc has been left blank deliberately, so it can be filled, given clouds or ignored without the picture looking unfinished either way. The coins are the one place on the sheet that calls for a fine point, and they are worth the extra minute they take.
