Tiger Cub Chasing a Butterfly Coloring Page

A butterfly floats in the upper right of the sheet with its wings drawn in clean open outline, and the cub below has clearly noticed it. The animal walks to the right with its nose lifted, one front paw off the ground, and its striped tail curled up in a loose hook behind it. Small grass tufts mark the ground line and the rest of the page stays empty.

All that white space is deliberate. It leaves room for a child to add a sun, a second butterfly or a whole garden, and the drawing does not fight anything you put next to it.

The butterfly is the best part to color first. Its wings are divided into a handful of open panels, which makes it a natural place to try a pattern before committing to the larger animal below.

The raised paw and lifted nose are drawn from real behavior. A cub tracking something in the air will freeze mid step with one foot up, and that pause is the moment before the pounce rather than part of it.
