Elephant With A Paintbrush Creating Art Coloring Page

A cartoon elephant lifts a long paintbrush in its trunk beside a wooden easel that already holds a six petal flower.

Two objects and one animal, drawn with almost no clutter around them. That makes this a good sheet for a young colorist, or for anyone who wants something finished in a single sitting.

The easel stands on the left, three legs splayed, with a horizontal tray across the front and a canvas resting on it. What has been painted so far is a flower: six rounded petals, a small circle at the middle, a stem running to the bottom of the canvas and two leaves coming off it.

The elephant stands to the right, body turned toward the easel, and its trunk sweeps up over its own head with a brush gripped at the tip. That brush has a straight handle and a pointed clump of bristles. Its eye is a large solid oval with a highlight, its mouth curves into a smile, and a thin tail with a small tuft hangs behind.

Line weight is uniform and generous throughout and every enclosed area is big, so markers will not bleed into anything.

Because the canvas is the only thing on the page that is supposed to look painted, treat it differently from everything else. Bright flat color inside the canvas and quiet gray or tan on the easel and the animal will sell the joke.
